Mutators are alternative presets that can be used to customize Rocket League gameplay. They were introduced in the Rocket League 1.08 update. Mutators can change numerous variables like ball shape, size and speed, boost amount, match length and demolition settings, all of which alter how the game is played. All mutators are compatible with each other.
Mutator Settings[]
The Mutator Settings can be altered in the Create Match screen in Exhibition Mode.

Game Speed | Default, Slo-Mo, Time Warp | Slo-Mo slows the game down, Time Warp only slows the game down when a player is touching the ball. |
Ball Max Speed | Default, Slow, Fast, Super Fast | Changes the speed of the ball. |
Ball Type | Default, Cube, Puck, Basketball | Changes the ball type. The cubic ball behaves differently than the normal ball, the puck acts like a real life puck, and the basketball acts like a real life basketball. |
Ball Physics | Default, Light, Heavy, Super Light, 10th Anniversary, Curveball | Formerly known as "Ball Weight", changes the ball physics. Lighter balls fall slower and bounce further when hit by a car, 10th anniversary mimicking physics from Rocket League's predecessor, SARPBC, and curveball affecting the ball's movement in the air based on its rotation |

Gravity | Default, Low, High, Super High, Zero | Low gravity means longer air time and slower gameplay in general. On Super High, it's impossible to jump with cars, and zero basically lets you fly when you jump. Also, zero only can be used in hoops mode. |
Demolish | Default, Disabled, Friendly Fire, On Contact, On Contact (FF) | Friendly Fire means teammates can demolish each other. On Contact means cars are demolished on contact, regardless of speed. |
Respawn Time | 3 sec, 2 sec, 1 sec, Disable Goal Reset | Changes respawn time after demolition. Disable Goal Reset means that after a goal was scored, the ball respawns immediately. |

- Ball Size: Large

The low gravity slows the game down, but aerials are easier.
Demolition[]
- Ball Weight: Heavy
- Demolish: On Contact
- Gravity: High
- Respawn Time: 1 Second
Cars are demolished on contact. High gravity makes aerials difficult and encourages contact.
Time Warp[]
- Game Speed: Time Warp
The game is slowed down every time a player is touching the ball.
Pinball[]
- Ball Max Speed: Fast
- Ball Weight: Light
- Ball Size: Small
- Ball Bounciness: High
The ball is small, fast and bouncy, making it hard to hit.
Cubic[]
- Ball Type: Cube
- Boost Amount: Recharge (Slow)
The ball has a cubic shape, making it behave differently.
Beach Ball[]
- Ball Max Speed: Slow
- Ball Weight: Super Light
- Ball Size: Gigantic
- Ball Bounciness: High
The ball is huge, slow and bouncy.
